Welcome & acceptance of terms

By using aboutlovecelebrations.com (the "Site"), downloading our free resources, booking a call, or joining our email list, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

"About Love Celebrations," "ALC," "we," "us," and "our" mean About Love Celebrations, owned and operated by Fallon King, serving New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the Site or our resources.

Services, bookings & client agreements

ALC offers wedding officiant services, ceremony and day-of coordination, elopements, rehearsal services, and relationship coaching. Descriptions and prices on the Site are for general information and may change at any time without notice.

A date is reserved only when you have signed an ALC client agreement and paid the required retainer. Your signed client agreement governs deposits, payments, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, and the details of your services. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your signed client agreement, the client agreement controls.

Inquiry forms, consultations, and quotes do not hold a date and are not a contract for services.

Free resources & downloads

We offer free guides, checklists, templates, and other resources ("Freebies"). When you request a Freebie:

  • You are joining the ALC email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

  • You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own wedding, event, or relationship.

  • You may not resell, share, repost, or distribute it, or claim it as your own.

  • It is provided "as is," for general information only, with no guarantee of results.

  • We may update, replace, or stop offering any Freebie at any time.

A Freebie may come with its own short terms. If those terms conflict with these Terms, the Freebie's terms control for that Freebie only.

Intellectual property

Everything on the Site and in our resources belongs to About Love Celebrations or is used with permission. That includes text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, templates, ceremony scripts, and Freebies, and it is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may view the Site and print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, republish, or adapt our content for commercial use without our written permission. Sharing a link to the Site, with credit to About Love Celebrations, is always welcome.

Photos on the Site may belong to the photographers credited. Please contact them directly to use their work.

Consultations, meetings & transcription

Consultations, planning meetings, coaching sessions, and other calls with ALC may be held by video (such as Zoom), by phone, or in person.

By scheduling or joining a meeting with ALC, you understand and agree that the meeting may be recorded and/or transcribed. We use tools such as Zoom's built-in features and Tactiq.io for this. We do it to keep accurate notes of your details, wishes, and decisions, for example the names, vows, and ceremony details you share with us.

  • We will tell you at the start of a meeting when recording or transcription is on.

  • If you don't want a meeting recorded or transcribed, tell us before or at the start of the meeting and we will take notes by hand instead.

  • You may not record ALC meetings without our consent.

How we store and protect recordings and transcripts is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The content on the Site, in our Freebies, emails, and social media, is for general information and inspiration only.

  • Not legal advice. Marriage license rules, waiting periods, and officiant requirements vary by state and municipality. You are responsible for getting a valid marriage license and confirming the requirements with your local registrar or clerk.

  • Not therapy or counseling. Relationship coaching from ALC is not marriage counseling, mental-health treatment, or a substitute for a licensed professional. If you need that kind of support, please contact a qualified provider.

  • Not financial advice. Budgets and pricing examples are estimates only.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep it accurate and running, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free, current, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability & indemnification

To the fullest extent allowed by law, About Love Celebrations and its owner, team, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, our Freebies, or our free content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or free resources will not exceed $100. Liability for booked services is governed by your signed client agreement.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless About Love Celebrations from any claims, losses, or costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that come from your misuse of the Site or our content or your violation of these Terms.

Third-party links, tools, testimonials & submissions

Third parties. The Site may link to, or use, third-party websites and services, such as vendor sites, scheduling and payment tools, and video platforms. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Recommending a vendor is not a guarantee of that vendor's work.

Affiliate links. Some links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, ALC may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Testimonials. Testimonials on the Site reflect real clients' experiences. Individual results vary.

What you send us. When you submit a review, photo, comment, or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it. You also give ALC permission to use it, with your first name or as you approve, on the Site, in marketing, and on social media. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Governing law, changes & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
